Women in a new light

A GOLD Coast photographer is going to “challenge the perception of the female image” at a local exhibition.

QBE Marketing agent Bianca Robinson, 29, said she wanted to break down the social barrier and stigmas around women in the workforce by displaying a series of portraits of young female students.

“There is a clear gap in the workforce, whether driven by unconscious bias, direct discrimination based on age, perception of appearance, or for simply being female,” Ms Robinson said.

The exhibition is at Ace Health Centre, 3/60 Santa Cruz Blvd, Clear Island Waters on May 22 at 4pm.
