Snake bite in Surfers


A MAN was taken to hospital after suffering a suspected snake bite at Surfers Paradise.

Queensland Ambulance said the man aged in his 40s believed he had been bitten by the snake at a private address.

He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, a man was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital after he fell from a horse.

Queensland Ambulance paramedics were called to a private address at Cedar Creek after the fall about 6pm on Tuesday.
