Teen ‘used machete’

POLICE have charged two teenagers after they allegedly robbed a man during a violent confrontat­ion on the Gold Coast.

Queensland Police said an 18-year-old man exited his vehicle in a carpark on Pitcairn Way at Pacific Pines about 7pm on Tuesday. It’s alleged a group – including a 17-year-old boy wielding a machete – confronted the man.

Police have charged a 17year-old boy with one count each of armed robbery and wounding and two counts of possession of a dangerous drug. A 17-year-old girl has been charged with armed robbery and wounding.
