SING SISTERS ARE HERE TO BE HEARD

-

GOLD Coast choir Sing Sisters will join Australia’s largest vocal ensemble in Brisbane on Saturday to belt out pop hit Absolutely Everybody by Vanessa Amorosi.

The music video will be a capsule of life in COVID-19 times.

Sing Sisters, an all-ages and abilities community women’s choir, is led by comic and MC Andrea Szabo.

“This has really been something to look forward to after a tough year,” Ms Szabo said.

Sing Sisters’ 35 members sang for fun and pure joy, Ms Szabo said.

Weekly meets were as much about catching up with friends as the singing.

“Nothing beats singing together — even if we are 4m apart,” Ms Szabo said.

“Laughter and joy is at the forefront. We’re here to be seen and heard.

“Singing can reduce pain, decrease anxiety and makes measurable changes in the brain.”
