Awards for nurses back

EXPRESSIONS of interest are being called for as part of the return of the iconic Cancer Council Queensland Oncology Nurse of the Year Awards.

The awards recognise registered oncology nurses across Queensland who make an exceptional contribution to improving the care and outcomes for patients and/or communities.

Gold Coasters are being urged to consider nominating nurses who’ve provided unparalleled support to cancer patients, particularly those who go over and above the everyday demands of the role and exhibit exceptional qualities.

The awards, that previously ran for 38 years, are making a comeback in 2021 to celebrate Cancer Council Queensland’s 60th anniversary.
