COUNCILLOR’S HOTA HAIR RAISER
WILLIAM Owen-Jones is the ultimate HOTA fan.
A Beenleigh ranger before becoming a councillor, he could have rocked a mullet as a fashion statement for the art gallery’s opening but took it one step further with a sharp cut, sporting the colours of the city’s newest tourist attraction.
On spotting him, a shocked colleague cheekily remarked that it was a haircut which could, given these days of heightened councillor scrutiny, spark a misconduct complaint to the Office of the Independent Assessor.
