Dodgy car dealer fined
A LABRADOR car salesman has again been found guilty of unlicensed motor dealing after a re-hearing in Southport Magistrates Court.
Parvis Amiri (or Pablo Amiri) faced the court once more on May 10 after he was initially found guilty in his absence in February.
In the re-hearing, Amiri pleaded guilty, was fined $5000 and a conviction was recorded following an investigation by Office of Fair Trading.
Previously, Amiri was prosecuted for making misleading claims to a customer about a warranty and for accepting a deposit from another customer but failing to complete the contract or refund the deposit.
Days after appearing in court, it was discovered Amiri had been continuing to operate as a motor dealer even though he did not hold a licence.
