Volunteers recognised
GOLD Coast’s 80,000 volunteers will be among those recognised during National Volunteer Week next week.
In a year that saw communities tested to their limits, volunteers displayed their commitment to help their towns recover and flourish.
As part of the celebrations, The Queensland Volunteering Awards will be held in Brisbane next Friday. More than 200 nominations were received statewide across six categories.
Volunteers will be presented the: Volunteer of the Year Award; Youth Volunteering Award; Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering Award; Excellence in Volunteer Management Award; Volunteering Impact Award; and Corporate Volunteering Award.
