The Gold Coast Bulletin
Grants for business
GOLD Coast’s small and medium businesses can now apply for grants of up to $50,000 to help them grow and create jobs.
Minister for Employment and Small Business Di Farmer said $2.5m worth of business growth fund grants would help established businesses to get to the next level.
In response to feedback from the small business sector, there would be more assistance with the application process and greater lead-in time after the release of criteria for each grant program allowing small business owners time to plan and prepare.
Ms Farmer said all applicants must have a mentoring session to support them to fully explore their business proposition and get advice on the best way forward.
The fund aims to help evolving small and mediumsized businesses to buy highly specialised equipment to accelerate growth opportunities.
