STEALING — MERMAID BEACH

TWO bottles of alcohol were stolen from a Mermaid Beach liquor store on Friday, April 16.

A man attended the Gold Coast Hwy store about 1.15pm and is accused of concealing a 500ml bottle of vodka, valued at $30, down his pants. He left the store making no attempt to pay.

About 4.10pm, the man returned to the store with a friend who distracted the employee while he allegedly concealed a 700ml bottle of rum down his pants, valued at $44. The pair then left the store making no attempt to pay for the item. Reference: QP2100712619
