THE BAMBOOS – HARD UP

Melbourne funk band the Bamboos introduced this tenth album with a soulful party cover of Black Box’s Ride on Time – one vocalist Kylie Auldist has the pipes to nail. The title track is more straight up Bamboos (with rogue whistling), Power Without Greed locking fast into the kind of ‘70s love groove that playing together for over 20 years will create. There’s a few guest vocalists including Ev Jones on the retro While You Sleep and Joey Dosik on chirpy Motown flashback It’s All Gonna Be OK.
