THREE separate commitments this week by South Australian employers Nova Systems, Sage Automation and BankSA-owner Westpac Group will see the creation of 450 new jobs in SA and nationally.

Nova Systems, which has a 700strong workforce, is recruiting for newly created executive roles as well as 50 additional positions.

Nova chief executive Jim McDowell said the business had experienced extraordinary growth over recent years.

“We have ambitions to grow our core business offerings and build on our technology solutions and geospatial capabilities, within defence and essential services,” Mr McDowell said.

“We anticipate we will need an additional 400-500 people; the only thing stopping us from getting any bigger is getting the right people in the right places.”

Also recruiting is Sage Automation.

Its managing director, Adrian Fahey, said the business, which employed 500 staff, would need another 100-plus people.

“Growth within our business represents the opportunity for people to grow into new leadership roles, creates new career pathways and the opportunity to grow their skills,” Mr Fahey said.

“As we set our sights on the coming new financial year, we are very confident of growth once again.”

The third recruiter is BankSAowner Westpac, which is creating new roles in Adelaide.

BankSA State general manager, consumer, Ben Owen said a range of roles were on offer.

“These roles provide South Australians with unique employment opportunities to join a large-scale business with a strong presence in the local market and build a career in the banking sector,” Mr Owen said.

Many of the roles support Westpac Group’s national operations across all brands, including BankSA.
