PENTHOUSE WITH A PARTY VIEW
YOU could be throwing the party of all parties as the owner of this exclusive penthouse apartment at the top of the Tivoli building in Surfers Paradise.
Owned by Gold Coast socialite Laura Younger, the apartment has a unique rooftop terrace with a builtin bar for throwing the perfect summertime soiree.
“We’ve had a couple of parties there each year and we love it,” she said.
Mrs Younger bought the apartment about eight years ago, drawn to the building’s boutique size and privacy, and that amazing terrace, which offers panoramic views of the city skyline, taking in Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach through to the HOTA and the hinterland beyond.
Yet this spacious apartment is not just a party pad, according to Mrs Younger.
“It’s practical, with a huge storage unit in the car park below, which you don’t often get in apartments,” she said.
“What’s also nice is it’s not too high. You can stand in your kitchen, look out and still feel in touch with the surroundings. Beachfront is beautiful, but you don’t get the side views, and without those, at night, it’s just you and the darkness.”
The Tivoli building was built in 1999 and although 22 years old, is exceptionally well maintained by the residents, who are all owner-occupiers.
“We have had so many nice times there,” Mrs Younger said.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re on the rooftop or in the apartment, you feel relaxed,” she said.
“You also don’t need to use the car much. You’re close enough to the beach and close enough to Surfers but far enough away that you’re not in the crowds.”
Mrs Younger said she was only selling as she and her husband were downsizing.
