No ham sandwiches at Coombabah High School. Who’s making these decisions? Can’t the parents decide? Why is ham bad for you? Eaten it for 75 Years - no problem. 75er

Bob Janssen (GCB 4/5) I’m assuming you wrote a very similar letter to the newspaper when our first female PM, Julia Gillard, was character assassinated by the politicians of the right i.e. Tony Abbott and others. Your current evaluation that only the right of politics is pure of thought and deed is laughable. We lost bipartisanship in politics when Abbott and his cronies got in to power in Australia and it has continued to this day. Diamond

How many independent candidates are being financed by a major party to draw votes away from the opposition? Just asking.

A huge thank you to the staff and Pastoral carer at St Vincent’s Care Services at Arundel (previously Masonic Care) for their total dedication and utter love for our Mum and Mother-in-Law Jenny, not only for the last eight years but especially for the last week and final hours of her life. Jenny slipped away in a peaceful and serene setting consisting of soft lighting and gentle music with nurses and carers coming in and out to check on Mum. Again a heartfelt thank you and God bless you all. Rom and Gwyn Markiewicz

So touching to see Anastacia's partner gets a trip to Sydney town, For a real thrill she ought to take him for a ride in an ambulance to enjoy Some ramping at a hospital. Jolly Roger

If the Olympics are important, which they are, it's the lack of housing especially needs to be addressed. If it stays on the path now Queensland will look like a third world country. 10 yrs from now & QLD could be in a very bad way not addressed.

Joan (GC Bulletin 3/5) the cost of goods and services have increased incredibly under the NP without any wage increases. Sheridan Whitehead

So some group nobody has heard of want a traditional prayer scrapped. Please our Muslim, Hindi, Jewish ratepayers, tell these 2 people (that’s the usual number in these Societies) to sod off. Daz R/Bay

Albanese’s home buying policy has garnered maybe 20,000 votes (only 10,000 homes involved), but at what cost? Very expensive and selective pork barrelling there. Darryle Knowles

When will the government come to the party in the current housing crisis and allow people with a spare room to offer it without penalties. Currently it is taxed and a penalty is payable on sales of the home. Many other countries have a capped amount that can be earned for room letting before penalties apply. Can Australia get with the program and reduce the tragedy of homelessness caused by rental unavailability.

I hope that Jim Chalmers is getting a carer's allowance. Every time Albo gets a question asking for any details, Jim and the other babysitters protect him, 3 weeks ago, he had absolutely no idea what the interest rate was, but now he says he can manage it better. Ifhe thinks that 0.35% is a crisis, then what was his opinion of the Labor Hawke- eating government's 17% housing. loans in 1989 and 1990? We need somebody is able to understand the details when making the hard decisions, and Anthony Albanese has time and time again shown he just can't do it. HR

Polls are a shocker for Scomo. See ya champ. You'll have plenty of time to nail those curries. Robbo

Every Voter in this coming election with a house mortgage needs to ask the question “who am l going to bet my house on”? CP

Under Albo the government could own up to 40% of your house. When you want to sell they collect 40% of the sale. Lefty looney socialism in action. Johnbrew

Keith Woods’ piece on free speech is a bit hypocritical, read many a story where he blatantly discriminated against unvaccinated people and pushed the “fear hysteria”. Disgusted.

As a dog lover it breaks my heart to walk the beach or the concrete path along the Broadwater at Biggera Waters and to see the people with their dogs leaving a trail of doggy do for other people to walk in. Please take a bag and pick up this filthy mess, keep your dog within sight or keep it on a lead. It is not hard.

Am I the only person Wayne Bennett hasn't spoken to? Jack

If the Govt owns 40% of my house, they can expect 40% of the expenses. Broadbeach Oldie

There is something dreadfully wrong with the law when Supreme Court justices make decisions in line with the views of the side of politics that appointed them. It's supposed to be law based on legal principles, not law based on the political leanings of justices.

The group wanting the prayer removed from the start of council meetings been incorrectly named, it should be the RATBAG Society of Australia. Beeb

The Greens living in on another planet again . Capping rent increases I’m pretty sure it’s up to the owners what they do or they could even just sell up and then there’s no rental property. 4221

All this whining about a tiny rate rise increase is laughable. For a decade lenders have had ridiculously and historically low rates and should count their blessings. My home loan rate was 17 per cent thanks to Keating. So stop crying and celebrate the huge windfall you’ve had for so long.

So Larissa Waters says the Greens want to build one million homes across Aust to secure Affordable homes for struggling Aussies. So where is the Greens getting the land? They don’t believe in land clearing. A.R.

Peter. "There can never be one group of people with more rights than another and that's why the change was made in 1967*. So can we have your explanation of Australia's anti-semantic laws please? So we can give our First Nations people who, survived their genocide, the same rights. As both were victims of genocide they should have the same rights according to your views, which i agree with.

Trans in Sport? How many cases have there been of this in Australia that have caused a problem? It was reported that 2 out of 70,000 Olympic participants were trans. Both lost by a long margin, If we were told the Australian figures we could make an informed unbiased intelligent decision. The figures could prove we have no real issue at all. As Deves is pushing the agenda, she should release the figures.
