THREE PLAYERS BIDDING FOR HISTORY
THE AFL Players Association’s AFLW 22Under22 squad has been selected and premiership favourites Brisbane Lions are leading the pack.
Brisbane had five players chosen in the extended squad, which was decided just a day after six of its players were named in the extended AllAustralian squad.
The Lions are also attempting to convert a minor premiership into their second premiership in three seasons.
Carlton, Geelong and the Western Bulldogs have four players each in the side.
Three players are looking to be selected for an unprecedented fourth time – Alyce Parker, Madison Prespakis and Monique Conti – which would mean being chosen in every season since the concept’s inception.
Fans will be able to vote on the final make-up of the squad via the 22Under22 website.
