I believe Tony Abbott has a brilliant idea for these little grubs who are getting off scot free in the courts. Wack em in the army and see if they still want to act like everyone owes them. The Informers Pupil

Charge owners of dogs with manslaughter if they kill a person. That will deter people from owning such dogs and own lapdogs. Johnbrew

Hi Rangi ol cobber, how are ya? Are your eyes painted on? I said Oz Kiwi Rennie is better than your Kiwi Foster. And the actual question was how stoked are you that you’re stuck with Foster to the world Cup? Looking forward to your answer. Chur brah.

Why does the weather bureau measure the GC temperature at the spit. In Coombabah it’s 25 deg. But at the spit it’s 22 deg. And that’s considered our maximum for the day. Surely we are smart enough to realise the spit is totally wrong spot. J d.

Companies like Medibank and Optus forced us into the digital era with, as it turns out, false promises of security. Because they have obviously not put due diligence into cyber security, it is on them to cover ALL expenses we may suddenly experience. And, why do they keep our records for years after we leave their company? Martin Oxenford

How has technology become a window of opportunity for criminals. This is the product of short sighted govt depts trying to put everybody’s personal details online. The responsibility of records management lies with the very idiots who created the over compliance rules against its private citizens. Whose head needs to roll? The compliance officers who created this mess in the first place!! Dumb dumb dumb!

Australian defence force while sussing out the Aussie pilot,s training China’s airforce should investigate how many ex soldiers are joining criminal gangs & training criminals here in Australia.

How much do snake catchers charge when they are called to relocate a snake?

Anon (GCB, 10/11). Elon Musk didn’t buy Twitter to make a profit. Jeff Bezos didn’t buy the Washington Post to make a profit. Billionaires buy media companies to control what the public hears. It’s how the World Economic Forum “shapes our future”. In that future we eat bugs, live in pods and own nothing. Shirl

Was KenW named after the Ken doll?

It’s time for a law to be introduced requiring deposits made to home builders and caravan and motor home builders and the like to be paid into trust accounts so buyers don’t lose the it money if companies go broke. Stiff financial penalties and a requirement for company directors to be personally liable for failing to place deposits in trust should also apply. Otherwise deposits are used to prop companies up like Ponzi schemes.

If First Nations people want a voice maybe they could start by speaking up to the community, family and kids about the way they treat and disrespect themselves and others. Money isn’t going to solve this situation. It starts at home, just like it does for any group of people. Colour has nothing to do with it either. Anyone will help others who make an effort to chance and help themselves. Where are their leaders? This is a systematic cultural problem that they need to take ownership of. Australia is a multi cultural country and everyone else has had to adapt to living and integrating here. These people have had thousands of years head start on all others. White mans money won’t fix black fella’s respect for themselves and family.

Given all we know, why has there been so little action in response to the existential threat of climate change? Why do we consciously condemn today’s children and future generations to live on a dangerous and hostile planet? Why, in essence, are we destroying ourselves? The answer rests on a prevailing assumption perpetuated by corporate and political elites: that endless economic growth fuelled by fossil energy is so fundamental, so commonsensical, it cannot be questioned. It’s unfair that political parties in power of all persuasions suffer the wrath of voters for economic problems which stem from the actions of former administrations. It seems to be a consequence of the low esteem politicians are held in that voters take their frustrations out on the ones they can rather than the ones responsible.

I always suspected that the Yanks were a little bit strange, now I’m sure of it when they elect a bloke in Pennsylvania who can’t put two
