This secret suburban oasis is drawing Airbnb attention for its social styling
IT’S in Ashmore, but it could be the Mediterranean.
Designed for maximum social impact by a pair of property photography pros, Hillie Pool House is luring holiday-makers to new horizons.
Off the back of a career creating gorgeous grids, Felt Lifestyle owners Keri-Lee Paterson and Sean Ross decided to work their magic on their own portfolio.
“My partner Sean and I have been in the property media industry for years now and we had been wanting to combine it with our interest in interiors and design,” Ms Paterson said.
“Having been inside a lot of beautiful properties, we always felt the urge to create a spaces that have a unique and ‘Instagrammable’ look but feel like home, hence Felt Villas was born.
“After renovating our house we saw there was an opportunity to holiday let the pool house as a trial to see how it would go.
“Now we are on to our second property, an apartment in Surfers Paradise.”
Tailor-made for two guests, the newly built Hillie Pool House is set for summer.
“Personally we love the outlook on to the pool,” Ms Paterson said.
“It’s enclosed by palm trees and feels like a little oasis among the hustle and bustle.
“The rest of the house has a Mediterranean feel with your very own private courtyard, the perfect spot for breakfast or a little afternoon drink in the sun.”
Other features include a queen bed dressed in luxe linen, sleek ensuite with a rainfall shower, a smart TV with Netflix and a thoughtfully equipped kitchenette.
Poolside sunbeds and picturesque picnic spots mean most guests play within Hillie’s walls, but a central location affords easy access to local attractions, including Carrara Stadium.
“Our property is very close to the motorway so the theme parks – Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet’n’Wild and Dreamworld – are very accessible,” Ms Paterson said.
“We also have the famous Royal Pines Resort about two minutes down the road and we have a lot of guests that want to use their facilities but prefer a little more privacy and space.
“Ours guests love the tranquil feel that our property has and we always receive positive feedback on the style and aesthetic.”
Hillie Pool House can also host location or photo shoots by arrangement.
Felt Villas’ second offering, a Budds Beach beauty called Villa Cypress, is also listed for holiday stays on Airbnb.
