Armed robbery – Southport

Detectives say this man may be able to help in the investigat­ion of an armed robbery at a Southport service station last month.

About 1.30am on Thursday October

27, a man entered a service station on

Ferry Rd and approached the counter.

The man, believed to be armed with a knife, jumped over the counter and confronted an employee, demanding cash from two tills.

He later fled the business on foot in an unknown direction.

The man is described as 175 centimetre­s tall with an average build.

He was wearing grey trackpants, a black cap with a black hoodie pulled up over his head, along with orange/red tradie gloves and black socks.

Anyone who recognises the man or has further informatio­n should phone police.

Armed robbery – Alberton

Police want to speak with four people captured on CCTV during an armed robbery of an Alberton pub.

About 3.00am on October 15, a gold coloured Toyota Camry sedan stopped at a business on Stapylton-Jacobs Well Rd in Alberton.

Four people armed with a machete, axe, baseball bat and gardening shears got out of the car and forced entry to the business.

They broke into a number of poker machines and assaulted a staff member before fleeing the scene in the car, police said.

Investigat­ors are urging any witnesses to come forward, particular­ly those with video of the vehicle involved.

Anyone with informatio­n about the incidents can also make anonymous reports to police.

Ram raid – Tweed Heads

Police want to speak with a man and woman caught on security footage in a Tweed Heads jewellery shop after a ram raid.

They are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident at a Tweed Heads shopping centre on November 13.

About 5am, a grey Hyundai Santa Fe drove to the top floor of the Tweed City shopping centre on Minjungbal Dr.

A man and woman exited the car and started smashing windows of the shopping centre entrance, police said.

The pair returned to the vehicle and rammed the glass sliding doors into the centre before they gained entry to a store.

Police said they drove from the scene a short time later, taking jewellery.
