Kaffe’s Colours

The Knitter - - The Knitter Loves - by Kaffe Fassett

Felted Tweed is one of Rowan’s most popular yarns. Now the iconic designer Kaffe Fassett, known for his breathtaking colourwork, has created eight new colours for the yarn range, including warm orange, pink and purple, a vivid electric green, and a rich turquoise.

Kaffe has used the new shades of Felted Tweed to stunning effect in his latest book,

Kaffe’s Colours. His trademark graphic intarsia patterning is in evidence, with checks, spots and tessellating tiles taking centre stage.

The seven patterns for women include a neat sweater decorated with triangle motifs, and a kimono cardigan covered with colourful intarsia circles. The intarsia ‘Cool Weave’ wrap has a pattern inspired by basketweave quilts, while zigzags, stripes and ‘Circle in a Square’ patterning showcase Kaffe’s vibrant yarn shades on his three scarf designs.

The biggest project in the collection is ‘Checkerboards’, an incredible throw worked in Fair Isle and intarsia, which is a riot of colour.

£12 for the book; individual PDF patterns are £4 each. For stockist details or to download PDF patterns, visit www.knitrowan.com or call 01484 950630
