BACK PART 1
Using 3.5mm needles, yarn A and the cable cast-on method, cast on 113 sts. Work Chart rows 1-38. Work Chart rows 1-8.
BUTTONBAND
Using yarn A: Row 1: *K1, P1; rep from * to last st, K1. Row 2: *P1, K1; rep from * to last st , P1. Repeat last 2 rows 4 more times. Cast off in rib.
BACK PART 2
Using 3.5mm needles, yarn A and the cable cast-on method, cast on 113 sts.
BUTTONHOLE BAND
Using yarn A, work as for Buttonband replacing row 5 as follows: Row 5: (K1, P1) 4 times, K1, *[5stBH, (K1, P1) 6 times, K1]; rep from * to last 14 sts, 5stBH, (K1,P1) 4 times, K1. Work Chart rows 19-38. Work Chart rows 1-25. Cast off in yarn A.
TO MAKE UP
Block front and back pieces gently to measurements, following any yarn care instructions on the ball band. Join the cast-on edge of Back Part 1 to the cast-on edge of the Front with RS facing using mattress stitch. Join the cast-off edge of Back Part 2 to the cast-off edge of the Front with RS facing using mattress stitch. Sew the side seams, ensuring the buttonhole band overlaps the button band on the RS side. Sew buttons on the button band to line up with the buttonholes.
