The Knitter

On my needles

I often work from home, and I’ve been finding it a bit chilly lately - so I fancied making myself a poncho for when the house feels particularly cold. I wanted a quick-knit project, and came across ‘Poncho Hugo’ by Gosia Grajdek on Ravelry. It uses an aran-weight yarn, and is knitted top-down, with simple cables along the raglan increases. I’m knitting mine in DROPS Nepal wool, in a heathered forest green. I’m now thinking I might add some colourwork around the bottom, using motifs taken from my treasured copy of Mittens of Latvia by Maruta Grasmane. www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ hugo-3
