Charlotte Walford

Charlotte is a designer and the dyer behind the Lottieknits brand. She loves to design lace shawls to show off her luxury hand-dyed yarns. Charlotte’s first project for The Knitter is an elegant crescent shawl which blends geometric lace with a floral edging, on page 53.

Emma Vining

Emma is known for her exquisite stitch patterns and fabric textures, many of which have been influenced by artefacts found in London’s museums. This month, she has designed a two-tone cardigan with an intricate cable pattern, using wool spun in Devon by John Arbon. Find it on page 26.

Eline Oftedal

From her home in Norway, Eline creates Scandinavianinspired knitwear with a modern flavour. Her patterns have been published in Vogue Knitting and Interweave Knits. Her latest design for us is a children’s colourwork sweater with a modern Nordic feel. Turn to page 57 for her pattern.
