YARN TO ADORE
Appledore is the brand-new addition to
John Arbon Textiles’ yarn range. It’s a DK-weight which blends three types of
West Country-sourced wool: the moorland Devon Closewool breed; lustrous Romney fibre; and bouncy Exmoor Blueface.
Worsted-spun in Devon, Appledore has been designed with cosy, heirloom sweaters in mind, and has a rustic halo and a woolly feel. The palette of 20 heathered shades was inspired by traditional tweed textiles, and are named after different local varieties of apple.
Appledore comes in 100g/250m skeins costing £17.50, or as 25g/62m mini skeins (£5.75 each, or six for £32). Fibre tops are also available for spinners (£6 per 100g).
