West Yorkshire Spinners has launched a new palette of gorgeous dyed colours for its Fleece yarn, a British Bluefaced Leicester DK wool previously available in undyed shades. To showcase the new colours, which were inspired by the landscapes of Yorkshire, Sarah Hatton has designed eight women’s garments.

Many of the projects are decorated with sophisticated cable patterns. These include the elegant ‘Rainham’ sweater; the intricate ‘Ilkley’ design, which can be knitted as a vest or as a jumper; and ‘Follifoot’, an Aran-style cabled cardigan with a moss stitch collar.

A lace pattern is used on the sleeves and front bands of the feminine ‘Levisham’ wrap cardigan. Elegant lace also appears on a hat and scarf set, while the ‘Harlington’ cowl has a smart textured pattern. Other projects include ‘Lothersdale’, a long-line jumper with a cabled roll neck, and a sweater with panels worked in a textured cob stitch pattern. £12.95; www.wyspinners.com
