Remembering Jean Moss
We were very sad to hear of the death of Jean Moss, the influential and inspirational British knitwear designer. Jean’s design career began in the 1980s, and she created many colourful, creative designs for fashion houses and yarn companies including Ralph Lauren, Benetton, Laura Ashley, and Rowan Yarns.
The Knitter was privileged to feature a number of Jean’s original designs, including the elegant ‘Flow’ cardigan which starred on the front cover of Issue 2.
Jean loved to share her passion for knitting with others, and she hosted popular knitting tours to destinations including the UK, Italy and Morocco. Always creative, Jean was also a keen gardener and musician, and she will be much missed by all of us here at The Knitter.
