Fleece - Family Collection
The beauty of undyed British wool is on display in the new pattern book from
West Yorkshire Spinners. Its undyed Fleece yarns - Bluefaced Leicester, and Jacobs - have been used by designer Sarah Hatton to develop a collection of timeless sweaters and accessories for men, women and children. There are 13 projects in the Fleece - Family
Collection, of which five have been designed for women. These include a Fair Isle yoked cardigan, a richly textured ‘coatigan’ with cabled bands, an open cardigan with rippling cables, and a neat cropped jumper with a panel of squares formed from tiny cables.
For men, there’s a handsome cabled sweater, and a classic crewneck with a band of Fair Isle; there are also textured scarf and hat sets for both men and women.
We love the range of children’s designs from Sarah, which include a gansey-style sweater, an Aran-inspired cabled jumper, a button-up hoody with simple stitch textures, and a Fair Isle hat and mittens.
