In Light of Recent Events
Many of Australia’s major artworks are in urgent need of repair. But as debate surrounds how, or indeed if, an artwork should be repaired, I sought advice from Cecilia Giménez, the Spanish octogenarian who became world famous when she “restored” a fresco of Jesus at her local church. How would Señora Giménez fix up some of our national treasures?
