AUSTRALIA’S biggest agricultural innovation trade fair, GFIA In Focus Australia, wrapped up as a success.

Aimed at helping Australian farmers and agribusinesses improve the sustainability and sophistication of food production, a number of high-profile delegates from across Asia Pacific were present on the first day of the Brisbanebased conference, which was intended to open up new business opportunities for Australian ag-tech suppliers and investors.

Starting the day’s events as guest speaker was Mark Furner, the minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries.

Mr Furner was pleased to open the event and said the Queensland Government would continue to work with innovators to grow the agricultural industry.

The day included the launch of AgKnowledge, the country’s first agricultural start-up company investor pitch platform.
