New leader for Australian livestock exporters
MARK Harvey-Sutton will replace Brett Pointing as chief executive of the Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council.
The group’s independent chairman Simon Crean wrote to members and industry stakeholders advising of the change.
Mr Pointing has stepped down due to a change in personal circumstances, which require him to return to Queensland. Mr Pointing commenced as chief executive in October and will finish with ALEC later this month. Mr Harvey-Sutton was recruited to ALEC as its manager of policy and regulatory affairs late last year.
“It is with regret that Brett is leaving and I understand that it is a decision not taken lightly,” Mr Crean said.
“However, personal circumstances change and we understand and support Brett’s decision.”
