Men’s Tues­day, July 3 There were 145 play­ers play­ing a sta­ble­ford event on the east course.

Barry Mor­ri­son had a great score of 45 points.

The ball run­down went to 39 points with six play­ers win­ning a voucher on a count­back from four oth­ers.

Su­per Pin: ($100). Thurs­day, July 5 There were 161 play­ers tak­ing in the east course in a stroke event and Eric Gru­mont had the net score of the day with a 66.

The ball run down went to 70 with eight play­ers win­ning a voucher from four oth­ers on a count back.

There were two eagles and they were Neville Speight on the 10th and Bob Peters on the 15th both win­ning a voucher.

The Priv­i­lege Cup win­ner with a score of 42 points was one of our vis­i­tors Corey Dul­son who claimed three near­est the pins.

The ball run down went to 34 on a count­back from three oth­ers.

Di­vi­sion 2: 1st: Mary Moss on a three-way count­back (18), 2nd: Liz Pol­lard (18), 3rd: Ann Wills (18). NTPs: 8th — Su­san Hull. Se­cond Shot: Ann Wills. The ball run­down went to 16 points.

GV Vet­er­ans

Shep­par­ton Golf Club hosted the GV Vet­eran Golfers 4BBB sta­ble­ford event on Mon­day 9 July.

The field of 103 golfers in­cluded rep­re­sen­ta­tives of our loyal spon­sors and we thank them for their con­tin­ued sup­port.

The chilly breeze cer­tainly turned the tap on in my nose, but oth­er­wise the weather was good for a game of golf.

A count­back was re­quired to sep­a­rate the three top teams all on 45 points with John Fan­ning and John Keller of Hill Top get­ting the nod ahead of Len Adams and Doug Bray of Rich River, with Graeme North (Shep­par­ton) and Gary Bow (Nagam­bie) col­lect­ing third prize.

Near­est the pin was con­tested on 2nd, 5th and 12th holes with John Fan­ning, Kevin Hum­bert (Lock­ing­ton) and Graeme Roth­well (De­niliquin) the re­spec­tive win­ners.

Our next event is at Nagam­bie Golf Club, on Mon­day, 30 July, 9.30am as­sem­bly, 10am tee.

The VVGA Teams Event will be at Ju­bilee GC (Wan­garatta) on 17-18 Septem­ber 2018.

We are en­ti­tled to send two teams of 3 play­ers and cur­rently have one team nom­i­na­tion.

The team en­try fee ($180) is cov­ered by GVVGA with par­tic­i­pants re­spon­si­ble for din­ner and ac­com­mo­da­tion if re­quired.
