All eyes on iDance spec­tac­u­lar

THE STU­DENTS of iDance are gear­ing up for their an­nual con­cert to be staged at the Para­mount The­atre.

Show­cas­ing the tal­ents of the school from ages two right through to high school, the con­cert will be sure to im­press the huge au­di­ence who’ve al­ready pur­chased their tick­ets.

With dif­fer­ent rou­tines of all the styles taught at the school, the stu­dents will be per­form­ing dances in bal­let, jazz, con­tem­po­rary, acro for dances, hip hop, tap and lyri­cal.

Prin­ci­pal and owner Jac­qui Korn­mann is ex­cited for her school’s an­nual con­cert.

‘‘The bal­let stu­dents have been re­hears­ing since fourth term fol­low­ing their ex­ams,’’ she said.

‘‘All other stu­dents started pre­par­ing be­fore then.

‘‘The ju­nior stu­dents are per­form­ing around the theme of the Wiz­ard of Oz while the se­nior stu­dent’s theme is ‘A Mo­ment In Time’.

‘‘A Mo­ment in Time will de­pict the events that shaped our his­tory. There’s pieces around the British Monar­chy, Martin Luther King and even Mar­i­lyn Mon­roe.’’

iDance’s an­nual con­cert will be held on De­cem­ber 7, 8 and 9. There will be Fri­day and Satur­day night per­for­mances and Satur­day and Sun­day mati­nees. Get in quick and se­cure your tick­ets through the Para­mount as the event al­ways sells out fast.

On De­cem­ber 3 the 2019 class timetable will be re­leased and en­rol­ments will open for all those want­ing to start their dance jour­ney at iDance.

RAIS­ING THE BARRE: Ka­jini Karunanayake, Maia Al­lan, Ivy Gior­gianni, Chelsea Ber­ry­man and Tom Kil­born have all re­ceived dis­tinc­tions in their bal­let ex­ams.
