HELP DONKEY SHELTER RUN

-

FOR something a little different for your Sunday, head to Tongala’s Donkey Shelter.

The not-for-profit organisation rescues donkeys and relies heavily on its annual fundraising day to keep the shelter running.

Loving and caring for neglected, unwanted, abandoned, surrendered and abused donkeys the shelter also assists people with physical, mental and intellectual handicaps through the calming, gentle influence of donkey therapy.

Home to more than 200 donkeys, the shelter is one of only three in Australia.

Throughout the fundraising day there will be guided donkey tours, information talks on different donkeys and donkey related items for sale. There will be hot and cold food for you to enjoy.

Gates open from 11am-3pm on Sunday. The Donkey Shelter fundraising day costs $20 per car entry and is located at 1949 Matheson Rd, Tongala.
