All in a day’s work for Chase
IT’S a challenge to even get to a national championships.
And to finish in the top 10 in the nation is a major achievement.
That’s the reality for local Chase Day.
After her second-placed finish at the Victorian primary school athletics championships, Day went to compete at the national titles in her best discipline, high jump.
All three members of the Victorian team that Day had competed against at the state championships would finish in the top 10 of the event on November 25.
Day finished the event in eighth spot after clearing 1.40 metres, while teammates Rose Jones and Addison Stevens would share fifth place with jumps of 1.45m.
