MAGS gets into the giving mood

The Riverine Herald - - NEWS -

MOAMA Anglican Grammar students were heroes for a day last Friday, supporting Anglicare’s toy drive and Christmas hamper appeal.

Students dressed as their favourite superheroes and donated toys and food for Anglicare to distribute to local families.

Tim Bowles, MAGS chaplain, said the drive had been well supported in its first week.

‘‘This is something we’ve done that is an opportunity for Moama Grammar staff and students to bring joy and encouragement at Christmas time as well as living out the Christian aspect at MAGS of showing kindness and compassion.’’

He said the donation drive encouraged students and families to pause and think about others.

‘‘It’s an opportunity for students to think beyond ‘what will I get for Christmas’?’’

Mr Bowles thanked the MAGS parents and friends group for coordinating the campaign.
