The Riverine Herald - - YEAR IN REVIEW 2018 -

MORE than 1000 people attended Remembrance Day Centenary services in Echuca and Moama, including Bob Baker (pictured) at Moama. An event to crown four years of centennial occasions, including Anzac Day in 2015, it was its usual understated self. With 500 people at services both sides of the river the emphasis was on recognising not just the soldiers from World War I but the evolution of Remembrance Day as an occasion to commemorate all Australian servicemen and women who have been involved in wars, conflicts and peace-keeping missions.
