AIPA Breaking into Fashion Photography
Later this month photographers looking to take their first step in fashion photography will have the opportunity to learn from one of the country’s leading professional fashion shooters.
The Breaking into Fashion workshop, run by the Advertising and Illustrative Photographers Association’s Photo Academy and tutored by commercial photographer Aaron K, will be held in Auckland on June 27.
Aaron K is an award-winning fashion photographer who has produced imagery for lookbooks, catalogues and advertising campaigns for clients such as Ricochet, Illicit, Lara Parker, Doosh, and many more, as well as fashion editorials for magazines like Remix,
Pulp, and Staple. The half-day course will cover such subjects as the inner workings of the fashion industry, creating the kind of portfolio that will attract fashion clients, finding suitable collaborators, shoot production, and integral business skills.
The programme costs $161 and runs from 1pm to 5pm, with a guaranteed maximum class size of 12 to ensure a quality learning experience — visit photoacademy.nz for booking information.
