Breaking into pro photography business

Are you in the market for a franchise opportunity?

Duo Photography is a franchisor that operates a business model based around licensing. Franchisees set up their business utilizing a common business model that makes use of the same brand and systems with support from experienced people in the business.

The Duo Photography licence includes systems such as photographer internship and training, mobile studio set-up, production, financial elements, and marketing.

Set up in 2004 by Adrian de la Fuente, the company offers the opportunity to learn how to be a professional photographer as well as a business person.

“The thing that most people don’t realize is that the actual photography is only a part of it. Much more importantly, you must learn how to get clients, how to work with clients, and how to run a business,” de la Fuente says.

The company has expanded to have four mobile studios in Wellington, and made the finals in three categories of 2014’s Hutt Valley Business Awards.
