Massey University graduates’ work exposed
Wellington’s Massey University College of Creative Arts graduating art and design students will have their works showcased in the upcoming exhibition Exposure, which is to be held at the Wellington campus from November 7 to 22, 2015.
Isaac Gutschlag, who is in his final year of a bachelor of fine arts (hons) degree majoring in photography, is one of the graduates who will have his work on show. “As a photographer, I have long been interested in the identity of others. My current work explores ways in which the presence of a photograph’s subject can be accentuated beyond their physical body. From the photograph’s colouring to the props and animals — every aspect of the image serves a physical and conceptual extension of my subject,” Gutschlag says.
The exhibition will showcase art and design across a number of disciplines including photography, fashion, industrial design, textiles, fine arts, and more. As well as the exhibition, there will be an industry/connections night on November 10, and two public fashion shows will be held on November 14, one at 5pm and the second at 8pm.
