The Shed - - News -

An exclusive distribution partnership between Getty Images and Visual China Group (VCG), an image licensing company in China, will see customers of the brands have access to the extensive visual library of Corbis Images (founded by Bill Gates) and able to make use of the images, videos, and historic archival content for creative and editorial use worldwide.

It was announced on January 22 that VCG had acquired the assets of Corbis Images, Corbis Motion, and Veer, and that VCG and Getty Images have teamed up to ensure that the huge library of historic images, including some from the Sygma and Bettman archives, would be able to reach people worldwide.

VCG and Getty Images have been partnered for more than a decade in terms of VCG marketing and distributing Getty Images content in China, but, soon, Getty Images will be able to exclusively offer Corbis content to its global customers.
