The Sportsman Midweek - - Trackwork - — Greg Spletter

WONDER BOOM (R7 No. 3) looks a good thing when tackles the Bm65 sprint following strong firstup performance there two weeks ago. He took on the older horses as well and closed late to beat all but the well credentialed Frequendly on the heavy-8. His form was a little patchy prior to a brief let-up but he is a better horse on top of the ground and with that hitout under his belt should be too strong tomorrow.

BACCARAT BABY (R8 No. 12) is another youngster taking on older company and she looks destined for far better things than a lowly class one. She picked up her maiden when resuming last start scoring an easy win in very wet conditions, but it’s hard to knock her dry track credentials. At her only other run she finished close-up behind Mishani Hustler and Plumaro on a good-4 here and she should be too classy.

SCRABBLE (R4 No. 3) has had no luck with the weather this time in striking shifty tracks at each of his three runs but back onto a firmer surface tomorrow I expect a big improvement. A very even field lines up against him, he certainly has the ability to beat them home.
