Punters have done their dough many times with AKVAVIT (R1 No. 5) but tomorrow must surely her day. She hasn’t missed a place in seven starts for the Adam Durrant team has been a frustrating filly punters to follow as she always found one better. She did close off nicely at her latest run here over 1200m and the 1300m looks trip. The field arrayed against her is very average and while it’s certainly the day of reckoning for her, I think she will reward faithful with a win.

Stablemate NASHVILLE CAT (R4 No. 2) has more idea of where the winning post is and can score again in the 0LY. She scored a strong win in a good class three here two starts ago then wasn’t disgraced when she beat home all but Misty Metal 1MW for the girls. She is racing very well this time in and certainly has a an all-important penchant for wet tracks can be followed with confidence.
