The Sportsman Midweek - - Trackwork - — Shayne O’Cass

AZAROSE (Race 3 No. 3)

is trained by Kris Lees and comes from the same family as his recent former champion filly Samantha Miss who was the one to deny Sebring the 2YO Triple Crown. Azarose is a supremely progressive mare. She has only had three runs - each one better than the last, evidenced by her October 28 win at Port Macquarire where she came from off the pace to by nearly 3-lengths over 2012m. Bred to stay. MACKELLAR (Race 4 No. 2)

- is a Ballina mare from the Stephen Lee camp racing in tremendous form at present. She posted her second win at start number 15 when bolting away from the others to score by upwards of 3-lengths. She was beaten a half-length Caro Cavallo the start before that and as you’ll see below, Cara

is a red-hot chance to win on the card as well. It’s good form. CARA CAVALLO (Race 5 No. 4)

- is a locally trained horse from the John ‘Belflyer’ Shelton camp. This son of Von Costa De Hero won three on the bounce, all of them here at Grafton, prior to the last start 6th of 10 in a 1400m Bm66 again at Grafton. Was for the most part as expected but got to within 2.8-lengths at finish line which was a meritorious effort on his part.
