The Sportsman Midweek - - Trackwork - — Greg Spletter

ARDOYNE ROAD (R1 No. 3) Returns and takes on an average Bm65 field at Ipswich tomorrow. Her debut run had to be seen to be believed. She flew the outside gate and produced a sustained burst of speed to win running away by more than three lengths leaving several handy youngsters in her wake. She has had six months off and over the 800m dash here gets her chance to regain her best form. BOOM BOOM EPIC (R2 No. 4) put in an encouraging performance first-up over an unsuitable trip and will go close against the girls in the second. She stuck on well over the 1200m trip, but her best is over longer and the step up to 1350m off a run looks ideal. Her one attempt at trip resulted in narrow defeat and at her best is well above class three level. DAPPER ONE (R6 No. 10) has excellent form for a midweek Bm75 and will give us a great sight later in the day. She finished within two lengths of Femme Fireball at her latest outing, and with good form at the distance in recent past behind the likes of Zofonic Dancer and Trois Choix she will take some beating.
