Winning Maid is looking the goods

The Sportsman Midweek - - Trackwork - ALAN GOLLOGLY

DESIGNER MAID has gone ahead in style since her first up win at Newcastle and looked a treat when galloping on the Beaumont (14m out) Saturday morning.

Joined by Intrepidus, the duo worked strongly over 800m in 53.30 coming up the final 600m in 37.50 and both were under restraint.

CLEVANICC also looked the part over 800m and hard into the bridle he recorded 53.40 (38.00).

A number of runners heading to Scone today were not out

break records but their fitness levels suggest they will be competitive.

STELLA SEA SUN (Race 2) did steady work from the 1000m before brushing up 600m in 39.95.

DERBY STAR ( Race 3) has improved since his recent trial win and cruised over 800m in 56.30 (41.00).

POWER TRANSFORMER ( Race 5) the grey drops in class from his debut at Canterbury.

His 1000m in 1.07.90 (38.20) was full of merit.

POWER OF WEXFORD ( Race 6) has a formidable opponent in Moobi but I liked his appearance when striding over 1000m even time.

OFF THE DIAL ( Race 8) is a must for your quaddie as her gallop last Tuesday was superb! 1000m 1.08.20 (37.70).

Lightly raced Randwick winner REGINAE has returned to light work looking in fantastic order.

She left Rainier in her wake at headquarters that afternoon which reads as a solid autumn form reference.

Also back in training after a ten month tendon injury spell is HIGH OPINION who went to the farm after winning at Rosehill in February.

The stayer is coming along nicely going through the motions with long pacework followed by swimming.

By the way, 2018 Gosford Cup winner SINGING is also building up momentum and he looks outstanding.

He had a long canter before gliding over 1000m in 1.10.80 (39.00).
