The Sportsman Midweek - - Trackwork - — Greg Spletter

There’s a cracking little race at Morphettville on Boxing Day and SAVATAG (R7) can return to winning form. He kicked a goal for us first-up last month, beating a similar quality field over this course and distance before disappointing a little when pushing out to 1950m. He dropped back to 1500m here a fortnight ago and was strong through the line, and up to the mile where he is unbeaten he looks real threat.

LUCKY FLIPPER (R1 No. 3) can start us off on the right note with a win over the girls in the first. She has looked very good in three runs this campaign and carried 59kg to victory at Strathalbyn last start in a Bm64. With the claim for Anna Jordsjo she drops down 54.4kg on Wednesday and against moderate line-up should win again.

TILDY LAD (R4 No. 1) cleaned out the pipes with a good run in behind Zalmona first-up and will be improved for the run. He did a bit wrong although beaten a length or so by Ascendance that day I think back on top of the ground he can turn the tables.
