He strode out beautifully in a 900m barrier trial at Rosehill last week and after nice piece of work on the Pro Ride Saturday, he galloped on Tuesday morning on the Course Proper over 1000m in 1.05.33 with his final 400m in 24.73 and last 200m 12.07 without being fully extended.
Trainer Greg Hickman has nothing but high praise for his four-year-old son of Pierro and after drawing a good barrier, will prove hard to beat in the Tramway Handicap at Royal Randwick tomorrow.
GOODFELLA showed a glimpse of his old form at his last run when, after being sent along to lead, he battled on for third over 1400m a fortnight back.
He continues to work well although he does need some urging from his rider and on Tuesday morning it was no exception when he galloped solo on the A Grass over 1200m in 1.18.81, his final 400m in 23.61 and last 200m in 11.79.
He steps out in race two tomorrow over 1600m which his trainer Bjorn Baker believes will suit and if he can get to the lead, will give a bold showing.
The Tony McEvoy-trained OOHOOD resumed in the Silver Shadow Stakes at Randwick and after getting a fair way back in the run, ran on okay for fourth on day when making ground out wide wasn’t an advantage.

She had her final gallop for weekend on Wednesday and after drawing a good barrier, will go close to winning the Furious Stakes.
Pierro filly PERFECT PITCH didn’t have a lot of luck in her races last preparation but she has got ability and could cause a surprise in race one tomorrow.
Her gallop on the Course Proper on Tuesday was spot on and she had an easy trial last Friday over 1200m where finished off nicely.
There’s not much of her but she can gallop and a nice race over the Spring is not beyond her.
