Waller’s Serious Angst contender

The Sportsman Weekend - - The Trackwork Winners - JOHN MOC

I AM SERIOUS has found the right race tomorrow at Royal Randwick to win the Group 3 ATC Angst Stakes (1600m) for the mares.

Her last start third to Avilius on September 15 beaten a length in the Kingston Town was a very good effort.

Take note that Patrick Erin finished fourth in the same race and he subsequently won last Saturday’s Group 1 Metropolitan at Randwick.

This Choisir mare is in career best form for Chris Waller and he has booked James McDonald to make a good thing of I Am Serious.

Her gallop on last Saturday was very strong when working the inside grass, 10m out, over 1200m in 1:24.30 and her last 400m 24.40 was a winning gallop.

RAQEEQ can return to winning form in the ATC Schweppes Handicap at Headquarters over 2000m tomorrow.

The import ran a very good fourth last start at Rosehill on September 22 to stablemate The Lord Mayor beaten 0.9-len coming from eighth at the 400m.

Raqeeq carries James McDonald tomorrow.

On Tuesday morning he worked on the Course Proper with stablemate Merovee 15m out and pair recorded a best of the morning gallop over 1000m in 1:9.10 with their final 400m 24.20, it was good staying work from the pair.

TOUGH LARRY was scratched from Warwick Farm on Wednesday to run in the ATC Young Members Handicap (1400m) at Randwick tomorrow where he will be hard to beat.

James McDonald partnered the Fast ‘N’ Famous three-year-old on debut on the Kensington track September 5 and sticks with him.

The gelding has been given plenty of time to recover from a tough win.

DEALMAKER ran on very well from last at the 400m to be beaten a short half head by Tarka in Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes on a Heavy 8 track at Rosehill on September 8.

Third in the race was The Autumn Sun and how impressive was he winning the Group 1 Golden Rose at Rosehill on September 22 at his next start.

Trainer Chris Waller has the Dundeel colt in the Spring Champion Stakes tomorrow at Randwick – a Group 1 race with Damien Oliver to ride and is sure to run well.

Dealmaker Girl Tuesday ran a best of the morning workout on course proper 15m out, over 1000m in 1:09.30, last 400m in 24.00 was very good from the pair.

PERFORMER and CHARGE are both winning hopes for Chris Waller in tomorrow’s Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes at set weights for the three-year-olds.

Performer went awful last start when beaten 5.4len in the Group 2 Run To The Rose at Rosehill on September 8 which won by stablemate Lean Mean Machine on that Heavy 8 track.

Trainer Chris Waller took him back to the trials at Randwick on September 28 and was a great second to Kaepernick in good open heat.

Performer has stacks of ability and won the Listed Breeders’ Plate at Randwick on debut.

I have always thought he would make top grade, the heavy 8 could of affected his chances last start.

CHARGE was a fair third last started behind Ragged Rascal, Meryl second and she won the Group 3 MVRC Scarborough Stakes at Moonee Valley last Friday night when is a good form line.

Charge worked quite well on Tuesday morning on the course proper, 15m out, over 1000m in 1:9.20, last 400m in 24.60 was pleasing work.

WINX will bring up 28 straight wins for Chris Waller in the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington tomorrow.

INVINCIBELLA was a good thing beaten last start when fourth to Shumookh in the Group 2 Golden Pendant at Rosehill on September 22.

She lines up in the 1400m Group 2 Blazer Stakes in the last at Flemington, another very good hope for Chris Waller.

Hugh Bowman stays aboard and the stable reports both horses went down to Waller’s Melbourne stable and have settled in great.

I will be backing Invincibella and hopefully she will finish off a good day again for the Waller stable in Sydney and Melbourne.

I Am Serious.
