Expect a Thrilling Thousand Guineas finish
THRILLSTER has come through her eye catching run in the Thousand Guineas Prelude in great shape and tuned up for tomorrow’s Thousand Guineas with an impressive gallop on the course proper Tuesday morning.
The daughter of Starspangledbanner, prepared by Team Corstens, finished off her 1200m workout in terrific style to cover the journey in 1.18.92 and her final 400m
a slick 21.89. She gives every indication she of running the 1600m out strongly and heads to Caulfield at the top of her game.
BRIMHAM ROCKS and OPPOSITION teamed up for their workout on the course proper Tuesday morning and the Chris Waller-trained gallopers appeared to have plenty up their sleeve as they strode over 1000m.
They quickened the tempo as they came up home straight to clock 1.08.45 for the trip and 24.68 for their last 400m. Brimham Rocks appeared bright and fit after completing the gallop and looks ready to run to his best in tomorrow’s Herbert Power Stakes.
Anthony Freedman paired up DECLARATION OF HEART and CIRCOMO for their hit out on Tuesday morning they were responsible for one of the morning’s sharpest pieces of work on the steeple grass.
With Declaration of heart sitting just off his workmate until about the 400m mark they dashed to finishing post together cover the journey in 1.05.34 and their closing 400m 23.43. Declaration of heart worked home powerfully at Caulfield last time out and has trained on well to take on The Autumn Sun in the Caulfield Guineas.
ODEON has been progressing well this preparation and didn’t have the best of luck over the concluding stages in Naturalism Stakes at his most recent run.
Co-trainers Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra kept him up to the mark galloping solo over 1400m on Tuesday morning and he pulled up well after running 1.38.54 for the distance and 24.69 his last 400m.
He has shown a liking for the Caulfield circuit in the past and is primed to run well in the Herbert Power Stakes.
BOOKER, also prepared by Ellerton and Zahra, is fitter for one run back from a spell worked sharply over 800m on Tuesday morning.
She quickened up nicely over the concluding stages of her workout to stop the clock in 52.47, dashing home final 400m in 23.70.
With the benefit of the recent run under her belt she can be expected to run well at Caulfield tomorrow.
