Ex­pect a Thrilling Thou­sand Guineas fin­ish

THRILL­STER has come through her eye catch­ing run in the Thou­sand Guineas Pre­lude in great shape and tuned up for to­mor­row’s Thou­sand Guineas with an im­pres­sive gal­lop on the course proper Tues­day morn­ing.

The daugh­ter of Starspan­gled­ban­ner, pre­pared by Team Corstens, fin­ished off her 1200m work­out in ter­rific style to cover the jour­ney in 1.18.92 and her fi­nal 400m

a slick 21.89. She gives ev­ery in­di­ca­tion she of run­ning the 1600m out strongly and heads to Caulfield at the top of her game.

BRIMHAM ROCKS and OP­PO­SI­TION teamed up for their work­out on the course proper Tues­day morn­ing and the Chris Waller-trained gal­lop­ers ap­peared to have plenty up their sleeve as they strode over 1000m.

They quick­ened the tempo as they came up home straight to clock 1.08.45 for the trip and 24.68 for their last 400m. Brimham Rocks ap­peared bright and fit af­ter com­plet­ing the gal­lop and looks ready to run to his best in to­mor­row’s Her­bert Power Stakes.

An­thony Freed­man paired up DEC­LA­RA­TION OF HEART and CIRCOMO for their hit out on Tues­day morn­ing they were re­spon­si­ble for one of the morn­ing’s sharpest pieces of work on the steeple grass.

With Dec­la­ra­tion of heart sit­ting just off his work­mate un­til about the 400m mark they dashed to fin­ish­ing post to­gether cover the jour­ney in 1.05.34 and their clos­ing 400m 23.43. Dec­la­ra­tion of heart worked home pow­er­fully at Caulfield last time out and has trained on well to take on The Au­tumn Sun in the Caulfield Guineas.

ODEON has been pro­gress­ing well this prepa­ra­tion and didn’t have the best of luck over the con­clud­ing stages in Nat­u­ral­ism Stakes at his most re­cent run.

Co-train­ers Mathew Eller­ton and Si­mon Zahra kept him up to the mark gal­lop­ing solo over 1400m on Tues­day morn­ing and he pulled up well af­ter run­ning 1.38.54 for the dis­tance and 24.69 his last 400m.

He has shown a lik­ing for the Caulfield cir­cuit in the past and is primed to run well in the Her­bert Power Stakes.

BOOKER, also pre­pared by Eller­ton and Zahra, is fit­ter for one run back from a spell worked sharply over 800m on Tues­day morn­ing.

She quick­ened up nicely over the con­clud­ing stages of her work­out to stop the clock in 52.47, dash­ing home fi­nal 400m in 23.70.

With the ben­e­fit of the re­cent run un­der her belt she can be ex­pected to run well at Caulfield to­mor­row.
