The Sportsman Weekend - - The Trackwork Winners - TIM PAYNE

PROPHET’S THUMB has returned to training in good style and she looks to be in for a good preparation.

The I Am Invincible three-year-old filly trialled very well at Warwick Farm two weeks back and she has gone ahead in her work since.

On Saturday morning, she worked with a mate on the Pro Ride over 800m in 50.54 with her final 400m in 23.94 and last 200m 11.74.

Trainer David Pfeiffer gave her an easy time Monday and she will prove hard to beat in race two at Gosford today.

ROSINA KOJUNUP has always shown ability in her work and has looked good going through her grades winning both her starts this time in and trainer Bjorn Baker has thrown straight the deep end when she runs in the Gosford Guineas today.

She hasn’t missed a beat in her work since her last start victory and on Saturday, she galloped on own over 1000m in 1.05.61, her final 400m in 23.83 and last 200m in 11.52.

She deserves her place in this field and should give a good account of herself.

Stablemate RODRICO resumes from a spell at Royal Randwick tomorrow and he has been coming along nicely in his work at home.

He has trialled fairly twice and on Tuesday, he worked on the A Grass over 1400m in 1.38.15 with the final 400m in 25.06 and last 200m 12.20.

He may be looking for further but being on the fresh side, the 1400m tomorrow should suit.

MAD FOR ART from the same stable failed on a testing track at Randwick a fortnight back but could bounce back into form after working solidly on Tuesday morning.

Galloping solo on the A Grass, he ran along over 1400m in 1.37.75 with his final 400m in 24.17 and last 200m in 12.16.

He will strip fitter tomorrow could be worth an eachway ticket. FOR LOVE and SATURN are both two-year-olds from the Matthew Smith stable who have been have improved significantly since trialling recently.

On Tuesday, they galloped on the A Grass over 800m in 52.98 with their final 400m in 25.03 and last 200m in 12.01.
