Don’t knock Knee’s chances at Randwick

The Sportsman Weekend - - The Trackwork Winners - JOHN MOC

SURE KNEE’S two runs this time in have been good and her last start fourth to Gongs beaten 1.4-lengths on a Heavy 8 track on December 22 at Warwick Farm contained merit.

She goes to the Kensington track at Randwick tomorrow for ATC 2019 Membership Handicap (1300m) Chris Waller and Glyn Schofield and will be very hard as her last gallop on New Year’s Day showed good improvement when timed over 1000m with stablemate Savinge.

They ran 1.08.40 and came home the last 400m in a best of morning gallop of 23.40. It was winning work from both horses.

SWEET SCANDAL and CHARLAYNE are stablemates for the Waller camp who head the weights in the ATC Handicap (1300m) on the Kensington track and you can make good cases for both horses.

Sweet Scandal has had two runs this time in and should be ready.

Her last start fifth to Star Reflection beaten 2.6-lengths on a Soft 7 track was fair as they ran a class record and she will benefit from a 2kg claim for Sam Weatherley.

She was not asked to run time on Tuesday morning running 1.12.10 for the 1000m the Inside Grass, last 400m in 25.80 was good steady work from a mare who put three wins together at her last preparation.

Charlayne’s first-up run in the same race when beaten 4.5-lengths has merit as she resumed off a bleeding ban on a Soft 7 behind Star Reflection on December 15 and she did win her first two starts in good fashion and the engaging of Hugh Bowman is a positive booking.

GRESHAM only has to back-up from his good run last Saturday when third Tip Top at Randwick beaten 0.6-lengths in class record time to be a chance.

With the claim for Robbie Dolan, he gets in with 49kg.

He looks a weighted good thing for the Waller camp in the ATC Kensington Handicap (1500m).

ALL CASH and SAINT KATARINA are stablemates trained by Chris Waller and due to run in the ATC TAB Rewards Handicap (1900m) at Canterbury tonight.

All Cash was beaten 5.6-lengths last start by Missybeel at Kensington on December 21.

Hugh Bowman takes over and his work has got better for the outing.

On Tuesday morning, he was timed over 1000m on the Inside Grass, running 1.09.01 and his last 400m in 24.20 suggests he has definitely improved for tonight and is a second-up winner before.

Saint Katarina is a Snitzel mare who has had five runs for a win and placings this time in with her last start the worst run when beaten 6.1-lengths behind Missybeel on the Randwick-Kensington Track when favourite and was trapped wide from the 900m and has a very hard run.

She worked well last Saturday morning with SWEET SCANDAL and they recorded a best of the morning gallop on

Proride over 1000m in 1.08.50, final 400m in 24.20 and last 200m in 10.50 is the best she has ever worked.

Brenton Avdulla will also increase her chances of winning.
